Fees

The Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department is proposing revisions to the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Fee Schedule as listed below. A public hearing was held before the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Commission on September 20, 2016. No public comments were received.

A public hearing to answer questions, and obtain comments, will be held before the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on April 26, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. in the Supervisor’s Auditorium, 205 W. Jefferson, Phoenix, AZ, 85003.

Proposed changes:

  1. adopt a $5/person general admission fee for users of the Hassayampa River Preserve Conservation area for users over 12 years oldwith the following exceptions through December 31, 2017:
    1. Friends of Hassayampa members – free entry
    2. TNC members - $3 per entry (children 12 & under free)
    3. TNC Arizona Chapter Passes – free entry for 2 adults
  2. remove the room restriction on the meeting room fee.

If approved, the proposed revisions will be effective May 1, 2017.

This new fee is being established for Maricopa County Parks and Recreation and is currently being charged by The Nature Conservancy (TNC) except, per the Annual Operations Plan with TNC, the following will be accepted through December 31, 2017: * Friends of Hassayampa member - free entry* TNC members - $3 per entry (children 12 and under free)* TNC, Arizona Chapter Passes - free entry for 2 adults.
