Take a hike up into the White tank mountains as Ranger Derik guides you through the beautiful Sonoran Desert. The hike will follow a 2-mile section of the Mesquite Canyon Trail as it winds up into the White Tank Mountains offering great views of the Phoenix Valley.
The hike is rated as difficult and will be all uphill on rocky/ gravel trail. Wear hiking boots with good ankle support, bring plenty of water and a snack. Please check the weather the day of the hike and dress appropriately. We will meet at the Mesquite canyon trailhead at Area 7 parking lot, please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the hike. There are no bathrooms or water fountains at the trailhead.
