The hike is strenuous and rated as difficult gaining 800ft in 3.2 miles round trip on rocky, uneven trail. Hikers should bring 2 liters of water, wear closed-toe shoes or boots and have sunscreen. If you have balance difficulties trekking poles are strongly encouraged. Water and bathrooms are available at the trailhead. Participants should come to the hike pre-hydrated. Because we will likely finish the hike in the dark each hiker should have a headlamp or flashlight.
